Description LILEYA BELARUSKAYA
The potato variety Lileya Belarusian is a medium-early table variety developed by specialists of the State Enterprise "Research Institute of Potato and Vegetable Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". The maturation period is about 70 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The tubers have an oval-round shape with a yellow skin and light-yellow flesh, weighing between 102 and 200 grams each. The starch content ranges from 12.8% to 16.6%, ensuring good structure during thermal processing and low susceptibility to breaking down.

The variety is characterized by high yield — from 246 to 392 centners per hectare, and tuber marketability reaches 79-97%. The storage capacity of the potatoes is about 90%, allowing for long-term storage without loss of quality. Lileya Belarusian is resistant to major diseases of solanaceous crops such as potato scab and golden nematode, and also tolerates adverse weather conditions and pathogenic microorganisms.

The potato is suitable for various cooking methods: frying, baking, boiling, stuffing, as well as for making French fries and salads. The variety can be grown both in open ground and in greenhouses on any soil type. For planting, it is recommended to till the soil to a depth of about 40 cm, remove weeds and large stones. To prevent diseases, seed material should be treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Irrigation should be performed no more than once every two weeks, adding fertilizers such as urea or potassium permanganate to the water, which promotes good plant growth and high yield.
