Sunflower LG5580

Sunflower LG5580 is a mid-early hybrid characterized by high yield and resistance to various adverse factors. This medium-height variety demonstrates high adaptability to growing conditions, enabling successful cultivation across different climatic zones, including forest-steppe and steppe regions. Plants reach an average height of about 155 cm, with a flower head diameter of approximately 15.9 cm. The average 1000-seed weight is 73 g, indicating good seed quality. The hybrid exhibits high initial growth energy and drought resistance, which is particularly important for regions with insufficient moisture. Recommended planting density varies from 45 to 55 thousand plants per hectare depending on moisture conditions. LG5580 shows high resistance to diseases and pests, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The hybrid is resistant to fusarium, root and head rot, rust, sclerotinia, black and dry rot, as well as to fomosis, scoring 7 points on the resistance scale. Additionally, it effectively resists races A-G of downy mildew and new strains of false powdery mildew, making it especially valuable for areas infested with this parasite. High cold tolerance and lodging resistance ensure stable yields even under challenging weather conditions. Hybrid LG5580 is recommended for cultivation in all regions, particularly in areas infested with downy mildew and in southern regions when irrigation is used. Optimal planting density enables maximum yield potential, which can reach 50 centners per hectare. Thanks to its combination of high productivity, resistance to stress and diseases, as well as adaptability to various conditions, LG5580 is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality sunflower crop.
