The LG5555 CLP sunflower is a medium-maturing, intensive-type hybrid developed by Limagrain. It has a vegetation period of about 115 days and is adapted for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including arid regions of southern Ukraine. The hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and resistance to stress factors, ensuring stable quality and high yields even under adverse weather conditions.
One of the key features of LG5555 CLP is its high resistance to diseases and pests. The hybrid is resistant to gray mold of heads and roots, black and dry rot, and fomoz, and is tolerant to fomopsis. Additionally, it is resistant to seven strains of downy mildew (A-G) and new strains of powdery mildew. Special attention has been paid to tolerance to acetochlor herbicides, including the herbicides Harnees and Euro-Lightning Plus, which facilitates weed control in crops.
Plants reach a height of 150-152 cm, and the average head diameter is about 15.8 cm. The oil content of the seeds reaches up to 48%, and the 1000-seed weight is approximately 72 grams. The recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture: under insufficient moisture, the optimal density is 45-50 thousand plants per hectare, while in areas with sufficient moisture, it can reach up to 53 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid is resistant to lodging, cold, and drought, making it a reliable choice for various agroclimatic conditions in Ukraine.
