Leader potato is an early-maturing table variety characterized by high yield and excellent taste qualities. The plant is of medium height with a semi-upright form and medium-sized green leaves. Tubers are oval-round in shape with smooth light-yellow skin and small eyes, with an average weight ranging from 88 to 120 grams. The flesh is white or cream-colored with a starch content of about 12%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes, including boiling, frying, salad preparation, and French fries.

The maturation period for Leader potato is 65-75 days, with the first harvest possible as early as day 45 after emergence. Yield varies from 207 to 248 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching up to 339 centners, exceeding standard yield benchmarks. The number of tubers per plant reaches 6-10, with a product quality rate of 80-93%. The variety exhibits early, uniform yield and high output of marketable tubers.

Leader potato demonstrates good resistance to potato scab, but is susceptible to golden nematode and late blight of foliage and tubers. Despite this, the variety retains high consumer qualities and storability up to 93%.
