Sunflower Corona

CORONA — this is a mid-early hybrid sunflower, intended for cultivation in regions with a moderate climate, particularly in the Volgograd region. The plant is characterized by high height, green leaf coloration, and moderate pitting. The vegetation period is approximately 112 days, ensuring early flowering and timely maturation. The average seed yield in the region reaches 18.3 centners per hectare, with maximum yields potentially reaching 31.8 centners per hectare. The thousand seed weight is approximately 62 grams, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 43%, allowing for up to 6 centners of oil per hectare. In field conditions, the hybrid demonstrates resistance to rust and downy mildew, while being unaffected by dry and gray rot. A key feature of the CORONA hybrid is its adaptability to various climatic conditions and resistance to several diseases, making it a reliable choice for farmers. The plant possesses a strong stem and root system, contributing to resistance against lodging and adverse weather conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid tolerates drought and temperature fluctuations, which is especially important for regions with variable climates. High resistance to diseases and pests reduces the need for intensive chemical protection, positively impacting ecological and economic efficiency of cultivation. The CORONA hybrid is suitable for direct combine harvesting without the need for desiccation, simplifying the harvest process and reducing production costs. Uniform maturation and high seed germination ensure stable and predictable results in cultivation. Due to its characteristics, this sunflower is an optimal choice for agrarians seeking high-quality oilseed crops with minimal risks and costs.
