Description ACROSIA
The potato variety Acrosia is a medium-maturing Russian selection, suitable for both table use and chip production. The plant is tall, stem-type, with upright stems and small green leaves. Flowers are of medium size with blue-violet corollas. Tubers have round or oval-round shape with small eyes, smooth yellow skin and creamy flesh that does not darken during processing. Starch content varies from 13.8% to 16.6%, ensuring good culinary qualities and suitability for frying, baking, and boiling. Yield is stable and high, averaging 205 to 286 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 310 centners. Marketable tuber weight ranges from 66 to 157 grams, and the number of tubers per plant reaches 6-12. Tubers have a storage capacity of 92%, indicating good preservation during storage. The variety is resistant to viral diseases and potato cancer, but susceptible to late blight and golden nematode. Acrosia adapts well to open-ground cultivation, with sowing in May at a depth of 8-10 cm and a planting scheme of 70x30 cm. Due to its characteristics, the variety is popular among both farmers and consumers who value the taste and versatility of potato. It suits various cooking methods and is distinguished by stable yield and product quality.
