DONETSKY

Donetsk potato is a mid-season table variety with a maturity period of 80 to 95 days. Tubers have an oval-round shape, with an average weight ranging from 99 to 150 grams; under favorable conditions, individual tubers can reach up to 1 kilogram. The skin is smooth and partially blue, while the flesh is white or light-yellow. Starch content varies between 12-17%, making this variety suitable for preparing various dishes, including soups, mashed potatoes, stewing, frying, and also for chip production.

The plant is of medium height, with a semi-erect stem and medium-sized green leaves. The flower corolla is blue-violet. The yield of this variety is high, ranging from 120 to 368 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching up to 417 centners. The number of tubers per plant varies from 5 to 10. Donetsk potato has good storability, reaching 93%, ensuring excellent storage qualities.

The variety exhibits high resistance to potato scab, but is susceptible to late blight and golden potato cyst nematode. Despite this, it retains good consumer qualities and flavor, making it popular among farmers and consumers. Donetsk potato is suitable for cultivation in central regions and is a versatile product for various culinary purposes.
