Description KRINICA
Potato variety Krinica is a mid-season table variety with a maturation period of about 110-120 days. The plant is tall, intermediate type with semi-erect form, medium-sized leaves, open and green. Tubers are round, with small eyes, yellow and netted skin, and yellow flesh. Average mass of marketable tubers ranges from 88 to 136 grams, and the number of tubers per plant varies from 6 to 9. Starch content ranges from 14.1% to 21.1%, ensuring good mashability and excellent taste.

The variety is characterized by high market yield, reaching 171-243 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 280 centners per hectare. Krinica is well-suited for processing into food semi-finished products, dried potato puree, frying, puree, and chips preparation. This potato variety is crisp and suitable as a side dish, making it versatile in culinary use. Tubers have high storability, about 98%, ensuring long-term storage without quality loss.

Krinica is resistant to several diseases, including potato cancer,皱叶病毒和条纹病毒, as well as golden potato cyst nematode and common scab. However, the variety is susceptible to late blight on foliage and moderately resistant on tubers, and it poorly withstands drought in the latter half of the vegetation period. To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to use sparse planting and apply mineral fertilizers. Preferred growing regions include the Central and Volga regions.
