Description Divo
The potato 'Divо' is a medium-early table variety of Russian breeding, intended for cultivation in the Central region. Plants of this variety have medium or high height, intermediate type, and semi-upright stem arrangement. Leaves are medium-sized with wavy edges and green coloration, while flower buds vary from medium to large size with a red-purple hue. Tubers are round in shape, with yellow skin and white flesh, weighing from 118 to 160 grams, possessing medium depth of eyes and rough skin. Starch content in tubers ranges from 15.0% to 18.6%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes, including frying, baking, boiling, and making mashed potatoes.

The yield of the 'Divо' variety is high and stable, reaching 200-300 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 352 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standard yields of other varieties. Tubers' marketability ranges from 91-95%, and storability is 88-93%, ensuring good storage and product preservation. Number of tubers per plant varies from 9 to 12, contributing to high productivity. Flavor qualities of the potato are rated as good to excellent, making it popular among consumers.

The 'Divо' variety demonstrates resistance to several diseases, particularly to the potato cancer pathogen, enhancing cultivation reliability. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode and moderately susceptible to late blight of foliage and tubers. For planting, it is recommended to use seeds pre-soaked in a growth stimulator, and seedlings should be transplanted into open ground 6-7 weeks after emergence. This approach allows obtaining quality mini-tubers weighing from 10 to 50 grams in the first year of cultivation.
