CROP

Potato variety Crop is an early-maturing table variety of Russian selection, characterized by medium height of spreading bush and small green foliage. Tubers have oval-round shape with smooth red skin and yellow dense flesh. Average tuber weight varies from 100 to 135 grams, with medium number of eyes located at medium depth. Starch content is approximately 12.7-16.8%, ensuring medium mashability and shape retention during thermal processing. The variety belongs to culinary type AB, making it versatile for salads, soups, frying and baking.

Crop is characterized by high yield, reaching 175 to 302 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 393 centners. Vegetation period is 60-70 days, with the first harvest possible as early as 45 days after emergence. The variety has good transportability and long storage life, with storability of about 95%, allowing to preserve tuber quality for a long time after harvest.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in Central Russia and middle belt, but it poorly tolerates dry periods and sharp temperature fluctuations. Crop exhibits resistance to such diseases as crinkly mosaic, potato blight and leaf curl, as well as moderate resistance to late blight of foliage and tubers. However, the variety is susceptible to golden nematode, requiring attention during agronomic practices.
