This hybrid belongs to the extensive type and is characterized by high stress tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Central Chernozem and Middle Volga regions, as well as forest-steppe and meadow zones. Plant height averages 162 cm, flower diameter is about 16 cm, and seed weight per 1000 seeds is 71 g.
The CL 549 NO hybrid exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases, including races A-G of downy mildew, false powdery mildew, root rot, anthracnose, and dry rot, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Seeds have high oil content — approximately 50% with a high oleic acid composition, ensuring high oil yield and improved product quality. Average yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 32.9 c/ha, and in the Middle Volga region — 30.6 c/ha.
For uniform germination, it is recommended to treat seeds with growth stimulators and humates, and sow into warmed soil at a temperature no lower than 9°C to a depth of about 4 cm.
