Flame

Flame potato is a mid-season table variety with a vegetation period of 80-90 days. Plants are of medium height (60-70 cm), leafy type with semi-erect habit. Leaves are medium to large in size, open and green. Flowers have small or medium-sized corollas with intense anthocyanic coloring on the inner side, with red-violet flower color.

Tubers are oval-shaped with small eyes, covered with red skin, and the flesh is creamy white. Marketable tuber mass is 95-115 grams. Starch content varies from 14.3% to 18.5%, providing good to excellent taste. Tubers have a marketability rate of 82-85% and storability up to 95%, indicating high product preservation during storage.

The variety is characterized by high yield, ranging from 203 to 516 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 620 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding standards compared to the Lugovskaya variety. Flame potato is resistant to potato cancer pathogen and golden potato cyst nematode, and also has moderate drought tolerance. According to phytopathology data, the variety is moderately susceptible to late blight on foliage and tubers, and moderately resistant to leaf curling.
