Chernihivskaya Rannaya is an early-maturing potato variety for table use, characterized by high yield and ease of cultivation. The tubers of this variety are very large, oval-shaped, light-yellow in color with a creamy flesh. The average weight of one tuber is 160-180 grams, and the potential yield reaches 500 centners per hectare. The starch content in the tubers ranges from 12 to 14%, ensuring good taste qualities, rated 4 out of 5.

The variety belongs to culinary type B, making it versatile in use. Potatoes are suitable for making salads, soups, canning, frying, stewing, and mashed potatoes. The flesh is moderately dense with a slight mealy texture, providing a pleasant mouthfeel with various cooking methods. Additionally, tubers retain their quality for a long time, do not sprout, and maintain their market appearance.

Chernihivskaya Rannaya exhibits resistance to potato leaf and tuber nematodes, reducing cultivation risks. The variety is characterized by rapid tuber development in early maturation stages and a short dormancy period, so pre-planting seed material warming is not mandatory. For optimal growth, nitrogen fertilizer application should be reduced by 30% from average recommended levels for early varieties, while potassium fertilizer application should be slightly increased.
