Potato variety Hibinsky Ranniy is a Russian early-maturing table variety with pink skin and white flesh. Tubers weigh 100–150 grams, have small colored eyes, and a red-purple crown. This variety is characterized by its early maturity, with a maturation period of 50–65 days, allowing harvest even at relatively low temperatures. Starch content in tubers ranges from 10–14%, making it versatile for various culinary uses, including salads, soups, and frying.
Yield of this variety reaches 29–36 tons per hectare, with a marketability of about 80–89%. On average, 9 to 14 tubers form per plant. Hibinsky Ranniy has good consumer qualities, including a pleasant taste and satisfactory storability, which is around 88%. The variety is resistant to black leg and late blight (pathotype I), has moderate resistance to common scab, but is susceptible to foliage and tuber late blight, viral diseases, and golden potato nematode.
This variety is valued for its ability to form tubers at low temperatures, expanding its cultivation possibilities in various climatic conditions. It is suitable for cultivation in cool climates and provides a stable yield when agronomic requirements are met.
