SY FUTURA AR

SY FUTURA AR is a mid-season linoleic sunflower hybrid developed by Syngenta and adapted for cultivation in the Polissia and forest-steppe regions of Ukraine. It is characterized by high yield potential, which, according to 2022 results, ranged from 30.4 to 43.0 c/ha at a relative humidity of 7%. The hybrid has an intensive adaptation type and moderate adaptability to droughty conditions, making it a reliable source of oilseed with oil content in seeds at 49–51%. A distinctive feature of SY FUTURA AR is the application of innovative A.I.R. technology, which effectively protects crops from weeds and parasitic plants such as ragweed. This technology involves using herbicides based on imazamox, imazapir, or tribenuron-methyl depending on the degree of field infestation and weed species composition. The hybrid is resistant to ragweed races A–G and exhibits high resistance to false powdery mildew, phomopsis, and sclerotinia, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to follow crop rotation, classical soil preparation techniques, and optimal sowing dates. Sowing rate depends on soil moisture: under moderate moisture, 45–50 thousand seeds per hectare are recommended; under sufficient moisture, 50–55 thousand seeds. The hybrid demonstrates good pollen shedding and enhanced growth energy during early vegetative stages, contributing to the formation of high-quality and high-yielding crops.
