Description Sirocco
Sirocco sunflower is an original hybrid from Spanish breeding, developed for classical cultivation technology. It is characterized by a medium-early maturity period of about 108-110 days, allowing effective use in various climatic conditions. The hybrid features high yield, reaching up to 55 t/ha, and high oil content in seeds — 51%, making it attractive for oil producers.

One of the key features of the Sirocco sunflower is its high drought resistance and resistance to major diseases, including tolerance to races of downy mildew A-G, Phomopsis, sclerotinia, and new races of powdery mildew. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid is ideal for cultivation in dry regions of Ukraine, such as steppes, forest-steppe, and polonies. High adaptability to soil-climatic conditions and high energy for initial growth ensure a stable and high yield even under stress conditions.

Sirocco sunflower plants reach a height of about 180 cm, and the flower head diameter is 22-24 cm, which contributes to good seed formation and quality. The hybrid also exhibits high resistance to lodging, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses. All these characteristics make Sirocco sunflower a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a high-quality yield under challenging climatic conditions.
