Sunflower SYDNEY is a mid-season hybrid developed using advanced nanotechnology in Canada. It features high yield potential and is adapted for cultivation using conventional techniques in various climatic conditions, including areas with insufficient and unstable moisture. The recommended seeding rate varies from 45 to 65 thousand seeds per hectare depending on soil moisture levels. The package contains 150,000 seeds, ensuring ease of sowing and planning of planting areas.

The SYDNEY hybrid exhibits high resistance to leaf and head diseases, as well as to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum races A-G, significantly reducing the need for chemical plant protection. Thanks to its powerful root system penetrating up to 5 meters deep and its thick, upright stem reaching about 1.65 meters in height, the plant demonstrates excellent drought tolerance. These traits have been confirmed through trials in various climatic zones, including extreme temperatures up to +60 °C in North and South Africa.

The SYDNEY hybrid is suitable for producing both confectionery sunflower seeds and oil, making it a versatile and sought-after product in the Ukrainian and European markets. A distinctive feature of this sunflower is its eco-friendliness: due to its transgenic traits, it does not require insecticides or fungicides, reducing protection costs and minimizing environmental impact. The hybrid’s yield reaches 53–57 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity and economic efficiency for agricultural producers.
