SY CHRONOS

SY CHRONOS — is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed by NS Seme from Serbia. It has a medium-early maturity with a vegetation period of 104-109 days and plant height of 150-160 cm. The hybrid has a high yield potential, reaching 56 c/ha (5.6 t/ha), with oil content in seeds of 50-52%, making it attractive for oil production.

One of the key features of SY CHRONOS is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including rust, gray mold, alternaria, phomopsis, as well as fusarium, false powdery mildew, white mold, and septoria. Disease tolerance is rated at 8-9 points, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. The hybrid is also resistant to races of Sclerotinia A-F (6 races), broadening its application scope.

SY CHRONOS is adapted to various soil-climate conditions and is recommended for cultivation in central, eastern, and western regions of Ukraine, including steppe and forest-steppe zones. It tolerates drought well and exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, confirmed by ratings of 9 and 8 points respectively. The recommended planting density prior to harvest is 55 000–60 000 plants per hectare, and in dry conditions — 45 000–50 000 plants per hectare. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation with herbicides Granstar, Express, and Sumo.
