Kolhospnitsia

The 'Kolhospnitsia' date variety is a late-ripening and frost-resistant hybrid variety developed by the Ukrainian breeder V.M. Derewianko. The tree reaches a height of 5-6 to 10 meters and begins to bear fruit as early as two years after planting. A distinctive feature of this variety is that fruiting is not dependent on the sex of the plant, ensuring a stable and high yield. Flowering occurs in June, with large, dense greenish-yellow flowers emitting a pleasant aroma.

The 'Kolhospnitsia' fruits are medium-sized, weighing approximately 170 grams, sometimes reaching up to 250 grams. They have a dark orange, vibrant color with a waxy coating and a slightly flattened shape. The flesh is dense, and in underripe condition, it has a tart flavor that disappears after the fruits are stored in a cool place or frozen. After ripening, the date becomes soft, sweet, and tender, with a pleasant texture. Due to its late ripening, the fruits can remain on the tree until the first frost, allowing for an extended harvest period.

The 'Kolhospnitsia' variety is characterized by high resistance to frost and diseases, making it low-maintenance and reliable for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Thanks to its qualities and taste characteristics, this date variety is popular among gardeners and lovers of sweet fruits.
