Persimmon GORA GOVERLA

Efficiency and Agrotechnical Potential

The 'Hora Hoverla' persimmon, developed by the Novokakhovske Research Farm, represents a stable solution for commercial orchards in Ukraine. The primary advantage for agricultural management is its self-fertility: the tree does not require cross-pollination, allowing for the establishment of dense, single-variety blocks, which simplifies layout design and resource allocation.

Operational Aspects

With a tree height of 3–4 meters, the variety is well-suited for efficient maintenance and harvest operations, reducing labor costs associated with pruning and fruit collection. Reaching the initial bearing stage within 3 to 4 years provides a predictable timeline for return on investment. The variety is characterized by high adaptability to local soil types, minimizing the need for complex pre-planting soil conditioning.

Commercial Application Scenarios

• Fresh Produce Market: The fruits exhibit good firmness, ensuring they can withstand transport and maintain shelf life, which is essential for retail supply chains.
• Processing Sector: Due to their naturally sweet flavor profile, the fruits are ideal for the production of jams, preserves, and dried fruit snacks, meeting the demands of the craft food market.

For growers focusing on profitability, 'Hora Hoverla' offers a reliable production model. Its consistent yield potential and steady maturation cycle allow for precise scheduling of harvest logistics and sales planning, reducing the risks inherent in commercial fruit production.
