Consistency in harvest output relies heavily on adhering to specific agronomic protocols.

Fruit Biological Parameters

The fruits reach a medium caliber ranging from 120 to 180 grams. The yellow-orange pulp possesses a distinct sweet flavor, making the variety highly marketable. It is essential to note that commercial quality is strictly tied to cultivation technology—excessive moisture or micronutrient deficiencies can shift the sizing toward the lower end of the range.

Key Productivity Factor: Pollination

The primary feature of "Mount Rogers" is its reliance on a pollinator. This genetic trait requires precise orchard planning: to ensure effective fruit set, compatible pollinator varieties with overlapping flowering periods must be planted within a 10–15 meter radius. Neglecting this technical requirement can render the tree, which has a potential yield of 60–100 kg, effectively sterile.
