Persimmon Autumn Gift

A Breakthrough from the Institute of Rice

The "Podarunok Oseni" (Gift of Autumn) persimmon is a testament to the expertise of Ukrainian breeders at the Institute of Rice of the NAAS. Designed to thrive in local climate conditions, this variety has gained a reputation for consistency and ease of care, making it a favored choice for both commercial orchards and private growers.

Agronomic Profile and Yield Potential

The standout feature of this variety is its self-fertility. By eliminating the need for cross-pollinators, "Podarunok Oseni" allows for more efficient spatial planning in the orchard. The trees reach a manageable height of 3–4 meters, facilitating easier pruning and harvesting processes.

• Yield: Expect a productive output of 40–60 kg per tree.
• Fruit Quality: Fruits weigh between 100–120 grams, the industry-standard size for fresh produce markets.
• Flavor Profile: Known for a consistently sweet taste, free from astringency.

Market Positioning and Utility

"Podarunok Oseni" is primarily intended for the fresh fruit market, where its appearance and shelf-stability ensure strong consumer demand. Beyond fresh sales, the high sugar content makes this variety an excellent base for high-quality jams, preserves, and dried fruit snacks. It is a highly rational choice for growers seeking a balance between low-maintenance cultivation and stable market returns.
