Alexey Chelombit is a persimmon variety recognized in the state register and possessing universal characteristics. The medium-sized tree with a semi-vertical structure develops medium-density crowns with a wide-pyramidal profile, which ensures good ventilation and fruit illumination. The medium maturity period allows planning the harvest at the optimal time.
The variety's fruits are characterized by large sizes (about 180 g) and a round shape with moderate grooves at the top, without cracks and longitudinal defects. The flesh is bright yellow, juicy and thick, resembling jam; it contains a small amount of astringent substance and small brown spots. Sugar content reaches 22.4%, while vitamin C is 62.5 mg per 100 g, making the fruits not only tasty but also beneficial.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to main diseases, heat tolerance, and drought resistance. Fruiting occurs annually, and ripe fruits possess a rich aroma and a very sweet taste, making them attractive both for consumers and for processing.
