Nikitskaya Bordovaya is a high-yielding early-maturing persimmon variety, characterized by large round-flat fruits weighing up to 140 g with a bright red-orange appearance and a pronounced waxy coating. At full maturity, the fruits turn a rich burgundy color, and the flesh becomes dense, sweet, and aromatic, reminiscent of the traditional taste of persimmons.
The medium-sized tree reaches a height of about 3.8 m and a width of 2.3 m by the age of ten. The crown has an oval-pyramidal shape, leaves are dense, dark green on top and light underneath. The variety possesses high frost resistance (up to –28 °C) and drought, disease, and pest resistance, ensuring stable fruiting even in unfavorable climatic conditions.
Fruits ripen in mid-October, and the yield of an adult tree can reach 70 kg. Thanks to the dense flesh and good transportability, the fruits are preserved until December without loss of quality. To ensure stable fruiting, it is recommended to plant with pollinators – large-fruited Virginian varieties, such as Rossiyanka, Bozhiy Dar, Mider, or Yeats.
