Description JENSI
JENSI is an early, high-yielding hybrid of hot pepper of the Habanero type, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The vegetation period is approximately 60 days from seedling transplanting. The plant has a medium height, spreading growth habit, strong stems, and intensive foliage, requiring staking for ease of care. The hybrid is not demanding in cultivation conditions, however, for increased yield, regular watering and fertilization are recommended. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to bacterial spot, tobacco mosaic virus, and fungal diseases, making it a reliable choice for professional greenhouses and open ground.

The fruits of JENSI pepper have a conical shape, a length of about 10 cm and a diameter of approximately 5-6 cm, with wall thickness ranging from 5 to 7 mm. The weight of a single fruit varies from 70 to 110 grams. The fruit color changes from green at technical maturity to dark cherry or bright red at biological maturity. The flesh is dense, elastic and juicy, with a strong spicy flavor and pleasant aroma. The pepper exhibits excellent transportability, retaining its commercial and flavor qualities during transport and storage.

This hybrid is versatile in application: its fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing — freezing, canning, drying, and spice preparation. High sugar content on the Brix scale (about 9) highlights its excellent taste. For optimal growth, an active microclimate should be created, and in greenhouse cultivation, the roof should be whitewashed during summer to protect against excessive solar radiation.
