SPANISH SWEET

The 'Spanish Sweet' pepper is an early-maturing variety of bell pepper widely cultivated due to its high yield and excellent taste qualities. The plant reaches a height of 60 to 80 cm and has a dense crown with large, slightly wrinkled leaves. With proper agronomy, up to 7 kg of fruit can be harvested per square meter. The ripening period is 92 to 104 days, allowing for relatively quick harvests.

The fruits of this variety have a narrowly conical shape, reaching up to 20 cm in length and 100 to 200 grams in weight, with individual specimens weighing up to 250 grams. The fruit skin is bright red with a distinct sheen, while the flesh, 5–6 mm thick, is juicy, sweet, and aromatic with subtle anise undertones. The pepper has a dense, crunchy flesh without bitterness, making it versatile for fresh consumption, snack preparation, and canning.

The 'Spanish Sweet' variety is resistant to cold and various diseases, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. Historically known since the 19th century, this variety gained popularity due to its large fruits and outstanding flavor.
