Description SIBERIAN BORODA
Sweet pepper variety 'Siberian Boroda' is a medium-maturing, high-yielding variety characterized by large conical fruits and resistance to various diseases. The plant is medium-height, reaching 55 to 80 cm, with dense foliage that protects fruits from sunburn and damage. The variety shows high adaptability to soil quality and climatic conditions, responds well to moderate watering and soil loosening, promoting stable yield formation. It is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, phytophthora, tip rot, and wilting, making it a reliable choice for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Fruits of the 'Siberian Boroda' variety have a conical shape with moderate ribbing, average weight ranging from 150 to 180 grams. Wall thickness is 5 to 8 mm, ensuring juicy, succulent flesh with a pleasant sweet taste and high flavor qualities. At technical ripeness, fruits have a light green hue, which turns into a bright red upon maturation. The fruit skin is dense and elastic, allowing the fruit to retain its market appearance during long-distance transportation and ensuring long-term storage under proper temperature conditions. 'Siberian Boroda' is widely used in culinary applications due to its flavor qualities and versatility. Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for canning, freezing, and processing. Vegetation period ranges from 125 to 135 days to technical ripeness and up to 150 days to full biological maturity. Yield is high, reaching 3.5 to 7 kg per square meter, making it attractive for both hobbyist and commercial cultivation.
