Onion Timur

Timur is a medium-late hybrid of bulb onion with a vegetation period from 105 to 115 days. The plants are characterized by dark green leaves with a waxy coating, which contributes to their resilience and healthy development. The bulbs have a round or round-oval shape, are large in size, weighing from 100 to 200 grams. The dry scales of the bulbs have an attractive purplish-red color and firm structure, while the inner succulent scales have a purplish-pink hue and a crunchy texture with a semi-sharp taste. The Timur variety is resistant to bolting, which significantly simplifies cultivation and improves crop quality. The recommended planting density is 800 to 1000 thousand plants per hectare. The onion is intended for cultivation in open ground, both by direct sowing and through seedlings, allowing adaptation of the cultivation technology to various climatic conditions. Harvesting is best conducted when 80-90% of the leaves have fallen, ensuring maximum preservation and quality of the bulbs. This onion variety is ideal for fresh market sales due to its attractive appearance and taste qualities. The yield of this variety reaches 50-70 tons per hectare, making it profitable for commercial cultivation. Timur onion is recommended for cultivation in all regions, confirming its universality and adaptability to various soil-climate conditions.
