GENERAL VRANGEL

Pepper 'General Wrangel' is a medium-maturing hybrid intended for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil. The plant is strong, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 meters and possessing a well-developed leaf apparatus. The fruits have an unusual elongated-conical shape, glossy surface, and reach a length of 20-23 cm with a weight of 120-180 g. In technical maturity, they are bright green, while in biological maturity, they are vivid red. The fruit wall thickness is 5-6 mm, ensuring juiciness and a pleasant spicy aroma. The hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 7.5-8.5 kg per square meter — as well as resistance to most pepper diseases. The fruits ripen in two stages, enabling a stable and abundant harvest. Pepper 'General Wrangel' is recommended for use fresh, as well as for canning and culinary processing, thanks to its juiciness and vibrant flavor. Cultivation of this variety requires standard care, including early seedling sowing, applications of wood ash and specialized fertilizers, as well as preventive treatments against diseases. When planting in greenhouses, it is recommended to add compost and wood ash to planting holes to improve plant nutrition. Throughout the season, regular watering, mulching, and weeding are essential for forming high-quality, large fruits with an original shape and excellent taste characteristics.
