FEST is an early hybrid of Hungarian-type sweet pepper, intended for cultivation in open ground and polyethylene greenhouses. The vegetation period is 50-60 days after transplanting seedlings, allowing harvest within one and a half to two months. The plant features a strong, compact bush with well-developed leaves and short internodes, providing good shading for fruits and high productivity. A robust root system promotes the formation of numerous fruit set with minimal fruit drop, and high adaptability enables successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. FEST pepper fruits have a conical shape, dense structure, and glossy surface. The average fruit weight is 150-180 grams, length is approximately 10 cm, diameter is 6-7 cm, and wall thickness reaches 6 mm. Fruit color changes from yellow in technical maturity to bright red in biological maturity, with the transition from milky-white to deep red occurring very rapidly — about 10 days. The pepper has a rich, spicy flavor and high uniformity in shape and mass, making it attractive for fresh market sales. The FEST hybrid is characterized by high yield — over 100 tons per hectare can be harvested, with each plant producing 15 to 20 fruits. The plant is resistant to adverse conditions, not prone to sunburn, and shows resistance to certain diseases. Fruits are well-kept and transportable, ensuring high storability and quality during commercialization. Recommended planting density is 30-35 thousand plants per hectare, which is optimal for achieving maximum productivity and fruit quality.
