Favilla

Favilla F1 — mid-early hybrid of sweet pepper type Lamuyo, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. The vegetative period is 70-75 days from seedling transplant. The plant is medium-height, robust, with a well-developed root system and dense foliage, which effectively protects fruits from sunburn and contributes to high stress resistance. The hybrid is characterized by excellent fruit set and stable yield throughout the season.

Favilla fruits have an elongated-cuboid shape, uniform and very large, measuring 150-160 mm in length and 100-110 mm in width, with wall thickness of 6-9 mm. Fruit weight varies from 300 to 400 grams. In technical maturity, fruits are dark green, turning to a rich red upon biological ripening. The flesh is dense, smooth, and possesses excellent flavor, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. The hybrid is not prone to cracking or spotting, further enhancing fruit quality.

Favilla F1 exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, bacterial spot, and tomato spotted wilt virus (strains 1–3). Recommended planting density is 35-45 thousand plants per hectare. Due to its adaptability, the hybrid is successfully cultivated throughout Ukraine, providing stable and high-quality yields under various climatic conditions.
