GALAKTION

Galaktion cabbage is a high-yielding late-maturing hybrid of white cabbage, first grown in Ukraine in 2019 and immediately showed excellent results. The vegetation period is 110-115 days, allowing harvest in autumn. The plant forms round heads of medium weight from 2.5 to 3.5 kg, possessing dense and juicy flesh with a pleasant slightly sweet aftertaste. The cabbage features a compact plant with a strong waxy coating that provides reliable protection against pests, especially thrips, and increased resistance to diseases, including fusarium.

Galaktion is adapted to various growing conditions and grows well on nutrient-poor soils, clay, and sandy soils, making it universal for all regions of Ukraine. It is resistant to soil and air drought and can withstand short-term temperature drops. The recommended planting density is 25-45 thousand plants per hectare, while the plant requires sufficient space and sunlight for full development.

A distinctive feature of this variety is its long storage capability: cabbage can remain in the field for up to 30 days after maturity without loss of quality, making it an excellent choice for supermarkets and commercial cultivation. Large, attractive heads with dense, melting flesh and high yield make Galaktion appealing to both farmers and consumers who value quality and freshness of vegetables.
