The plant is low-growing, reaching about 45 cm in height, with a strong leaf canopy that effectively protects the fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is adaptable to growing conditions but develops best on sunny sites with fertile soil and intensive agronomy. Vanguard F1 exhibits high resistance to diseases such as black spot and cucumber mosaic virus, and also shows tolerance to drought and frost in zones 7-8. The fruits of pepper Vanguard have a cube-like shape, large size — about 10 cm in diameter and 12-13 cm in length, weighing from 300 to 450 g. The wall thickness reaches 10 mm, usually forming 3-4 chambers. At technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, while at biological maturity, they are vivid red. They are characterized by juiciness, succulence, and a pleasant sweet taste, rich in carotene. The peppers are not prone to cracking, allowing them to maintain their market appearance during long-distance transportation and prolonged storage. The hybrid is versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and freezing. The vegetation period is 85-90 days from transplanting to permanent location, enabling stable yields. The recommended planting density is about 50,000 plants per hectare.
