CRIMEAN WONDER

Crimean Wonder is a variety of sweet and juicy pepper, an improved version of the well-known California Wonder. It is a medium-height, semi-spreading, leafy plant suitable for cultivation in both plastic greenhouses and open ground, primarily in southern regions. The maturation period is 110-115 days from full emergence, making it a medium-early variety. Sowing seedlings is recommended in late February with seed depth of 1 cm, and transplanting seedlings — in late May. Pinching is performed in the 1-2 true leaf stage. It is important to avoid planting sweet and hot pepper varieties near each other to prevent cross-pollination and bitterness in sweet fruits.

Fruits of Crimean Wonder have a cube-shaped form, smooth surface, length of 10-12 cm, and diameter of 8-10 cm. They are 3-4-chambered, weighing 200-250 grams. The flesh is thick (6-8 mm), crisp, and sweet in taste. In the technical ripening stage, fruits are dark green, while in the biological stage, they turn into a rich red hue. The taste and commercial qualities of the fruits are high, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption, hot dishes, home preservation, and freezing.
