BARON WHITE

Baron White — an attractive variety of sweet pepper of the 'Rotunda' type, distinguished by excellent taste and versatility in use. The plant is compact, moderately leafy, with short internodes, reaching up to 100 cm in height. It produces fruit abundantly after 110-120 days from sowing. The fruits have the shape of a small pumpkin with thick ribbed walls of 7-9 mm thickness and a weight of 100-130 g. Immature fruits are yellowish, while ripe ones turn light red. This pepper is ideal for attractive sweet slicing, portioned salad or meat serving, and is also used as a container for stuffing, baking, and canning.

The variety is hardy and tolerates short-term temperature drops, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in late February, transplanting — at the cotyledon stage, and planting seedlings into the ground — at the end of May. To shape the plant, all side shoots and leaves should be removed up to the first fork, promoting better development of main fruits. The optimal planting scheme is 40x60 cm.

It is important to note that seedlings of sweet and hot pepper varieties should not be planted near each other to avoid cross-pollination and the development of a bitter taste in sweet fruits. Due to its hardiness and resistance, Baron White is suitable for industrial year-round cultivation using light culture in protected ground, expanding its application potential and ensuring a stable yield.
