Bihar pepper is a medium-early hybrid of sweet pepper of tomato type, known as 'Ratunda' or 'Goghar', with a unique round shape resembling a tomato. The fruits have a round-cuboid shape and weigh on average between 220 to 300 grams. The wall thickness reaches 10-12 mm, ensuring the fleshiness and juiciness of the fruits. In technical maturity, they are dark green, while in biological maturity, they turn into a deep red both inside and out, giving them an attractive market appearance and high color uniformity.

The Bihar hybrid is characterized by high and stable yield, reaching up to 90 tons per hectare, making it profitable for cultivation both in open fields and greenhouses. The plants are well-branched, protecting the fruits from sunburn and helping to maintain quality. The vegetation period is approximately 75 days from transplanting seedlings to harvest, allowing for an early harvest.

Bihar pepper is resistant to bacterial disease Xanthomonas vesicatoria, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss and simplifying crop care. Due to its taste qualities and fleshiness, this hybrid is ideal for fresh use, including stuffing and salad preparation. Its high marketability and attractive appearance make Bihar popular on the fresh vegetable market.
