Description Almirante
Sweet pepper Almirante F1 — an early-maturing, large-fruited hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. This variety is distinguished by its high reliability and stability, thanks to its robust and compact plant structure with a well-developed root system and strong leaf canopy. Almirante can be successfully grown both in open ground and in heated and unheated greenhouses, as well as under plastic coverings, making it versatile for various climatic conditions and agronomic practices. The plant quickly adapts to environmental changes and demonstrates resistance to a wide range of infectious diseases, including bacterial spot and several viruses, ensuring stable fruiting and high yields.

The fruits of Almirante pepper have a cube-shaped elongated form with four chambers and very thick walls up to 10 mm thick, giving them density and excellent marketability. Fruit sizes vary: length is about 10-12 cm, diameter — 8-10 cm, and weight — from 290 to 320 grams. In technical maturity, fruits are green, and in biological maturity — a deep dark red with a characteristic sheen. Thanks to its dense structure and excellent storability, the pepper retains its flavor and appearance even after prolonged transportation and storage.

The average time to maturity of Almirante pepper is 60-75 days after transplanting seedlings, allowing its use for both first and second crop rotations. The main purpose of the fruits is fresh consumption, canning, and processing. The long fruiting period and high disease resistance make this hybrid an attractive choice for farmers and gardeners seeking a high-quality and stable yield of sweet pepper.
