Bell Pepper / Elmas

Elmas F1 is an early and high-yielding Hungarian-type hybrid developed by the Turkish company Yuksel Tohum. This variety features a robust, sprawling plant with well-developed lateral branches and short internodes, contributing to high yield and resilience under stressful conditions. Elmas F1 has immunity to major solanaceous diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation both outdoors and in greenhouses throughout the year.

The fruits of Elmas F1 are conical, measuring 15–18 cm in length and 6–7 cm in diameter, with wall thickness of 5–6 mm. The average fruit weight is about 180 grams. Fruit color varies from light green at technical maturity to creamy or ivory at biological maturity. The flesh is crisp, juicy, and firm with a subtle aroma, making the pepper particularly flavorful and appealing to consumers.

Elmas F1 hybrid is suitable for various uses: it is cultivated for fresh market sales, culinary applications, processing, and freezing. The pepper withstands transportation well and retains its market appearance for a long time during storage. Seeds of this hybrid are suitable for direct sowing into open ground or for growing seedlings in trays followed by transplanting before the flowering phase. The recommended planting density is 30–40 thousand plants per hectare, ensuring optimal yield and fruit quality.
