Khokhloma

Khokhloma Peony is a hybrid of Soviet breeding, created in 1986 by Gorobets and Tyran. This compact bush reaches a height of about 70-80 cm and is characterized by strong stems and green, matte leaves. The peony flowers have a cup-shaped, bowl-like form with a diameter of about 16 cm and a rich red hue that fades to pinkish-red as it blooms. Bright yellow stamens create a fiery fireworks effect, while a mild fragrance adds elegance to this early-blooming plant.

Khokhloma Peony prefers partial shade and requires fertile, well-drained soil for successful growth. Planting is recommended in late August to September, which promotes good establishment and winter preparation. Due to its high winter hardiness, this variety is ideal for cultivation in park zones, rock gardens, mixed borders, and group plantings, where it will serve as a striking accent and attract attention with its vibrant color.
