Description
Pion of the 'Chaklunka' variety is a double, bomb-shaped hybrid with a rich dark red color and velvety petal texture that does not fade in sunlight. The flowers have an elegant and neat shape, reaching a diameter of about 16 cm. Early flowering allows you to enjoy bright buds at the beginning of the season. The bushes are semi-spreading, with a slender form and sturdy stems up to 80-90 cm tall, ensuring plant stability and ease of care.
To successfully grow 'Chaklunka' peonies, it is important to choose the right planting location. These plants prefer sunny, wind-protected areas with well-drained or slightly elevated soil. Optimal soils are loams enriched with manure, compost, sand, as well as fertilizers such as superphosphate, potassium sulfate, or wood ash. The planting hole should be prepared according to these recommendations to ensure normal root development and abundant flowering. Peonies poorly tolerate proximity to trees and shrubs, so it is best to avoid planting them nearby.
The plants are sufficiently cold-resistant and do not require mulching. In spring, peonies are planted before the buds swell, usually in April, and in autumn — before the first frost. All seedlings are supplied with buds and securely packaged for preservation. Following proper planting and care guidelines, 'Chaklunka' peonies can thrive in one location for more than 20 years, delighting with vibrant and prolonged flowering.
