Peony Raspberry Sande

A Landmark of Domestic Breeding

The ‘Raspberry Sundae’ peony is a notable achievement of the Russian Federal Research Center for Horticulture. Designed to thrive in moderate climates, this herbaceous peony combines the elegance of high-end aesthetics with the robustness required for local gardens. In a market often saturated with imported varieties, this selection stands out for its structural integrity and natural resistance to common fungal infections, including powdery mildew and gray mold.

Visual and Structural Excellence

The cultivar is defined by its stunning bomb-type blooms, which range from 15 to 18 cm in diameter. The petals transition from a delicate, soft pink to a deep, striking raspberry hue in the center, giving the plant its dessert-inspired name. With a mature height of 70–80 cm, the shrub is well-proportioned, making it an excellent candidate for formal landscape designs and small garden beds where space management is a priority.
