Peony CHINGIZ KHAN

The Peony cultivar Chingiz Khan is a striking decorative plant featuring large, double flowers up to 14 cm in diameter, colored in rich carmine-red or cherry shades. The flowers have a spherical shape resembling a shaggy mane, with numerous inverse-ovate petals that completely cover the stamens and pistils. The peduncles are sturdy and upright, bearing two flowers each, while the bushes reach heights from 70 to 90 cm, have a closed form, and medium foliage with dark green glossy leaves.

This peony cultivar is distinguished by a medium flowering duration of about 11–12 days, occurring in mid-June. The flowers do not fade in the sun, maintaining their high level of decorativeness. The aroma of Chingiz Khan is weak to moderate, making it a pleasant but not intrusive element of the garden. The peduncles are sufficiently strong to withstand up to 20 flowers per bush, ensuring abundant and impressive flowering.

For successful cultivation, the Peony Chingiz Khan is recommended for planting in sunny locations with regular watering and fertilization using potassium-phosphorus fertilizers. This cultivar is suitable for greening and creating bright accents in the garden due to its decorativeness and resistance to color fading. The bushes have a compact form and fit well into various landscape compositions.
