Red Satin

Pion Red Satin is one of the darkest red varieties developed during the Soviet era. This hybrid features semi-double flowers up to 15 cm in diameter with a deep red hue. Stamen filaments and pistils with stigmas are colored red, giving the flowers a vivid and rich appearance. The plants grow to about 110 cm tall, have an open, spreading form, and feature slightly sparse, glossy medium-green leaves.

The stems of Red Satin are long, strong, and do not bend, although they are considered structurally weak. They are colored red at the base and near the petioles, enhancing the plant's decorative appeal. The variety is classified as mid-early or early flowering, depending on the source, and has a weak but pleasant fragrance.

This pion is highly valued among domestic varieties and was awarded first prize at the "Florists of Moscow" Club exhibition in 2015. Red Satin is ideal for creating striking accents in the garden due to its intense coloration and lush blooming, eagerly anticipated by gardeners.
