Peony Red Breeze

Operational standards and garden maintenance

The 'Chervoni Vitryla' tree peony, developed by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, is a choice for those prioritizing resilience in garden landscaping. As a gardener, you should consider that this plant reaches a height of 60 to 120 cm. Proper placement is the key to minimizing manual labor: providing protection from harsh midday sun ensures the longevity of the blooms during the early season.

Key maintenance features

• Plant growth and ergonomics: With a final height of up to 120 cm and flowers measuring 15–17 cm in diameter, this peony is designed for structural focal points. Its early flowering window (May 15th–30th) allows for efficient seasonal garden planning.
• Durability: The plant is fully adapted to Ukrainian climate conditions. Maintenance is straightforward, focusing on standard spring pruning and soil mulching to keep moisture levels stable. This reduces the need for frequent irrigation.
• Aesthetics and serviceability: The simple and semi-double flower structure offers a natural, elegant look without the complexity associated with highly hybridized species. Its saturated red color acts as a reliable focal point, requiring minimal human intervention once established.

Managing 'Chervoni Vitryla' is a low-stress experience. It is a robust, well-bred variety that combines ornamental intensity with practical reliability, making it an essential asset for any well-maintained garden.
