The Blush Queen Peony is a herbaceous perennial developed by Dutch breeders in 1949. The plant reaches a height of 80 to 100 cm and features large double flowers with a diameter of 15 to 25 cm. The flowers have complex coloring: they are white-cream on the outside with soft pink and yellow hues, becoming predominantly white-cream during the blooming process. The flower shape changes from rose-shaped and flat at the beginning of flowering to cylindrical later on. Side buds can reach up to three, enhancing the plant's ornamental value. The Blush Queen Peony prefers sunny locations and moderate watering, requiring support to hold up its tall stems. The leaves are dark green and of standard shape. The plant has a subtle but pleasant aroma that adds elegance to the flower garden. This variety boasts high frost hardiness and can survive winter in open ground, making it suitable for cultivation in zones with a moderate climate. Blush Queen is ideal for creating striking flower gardens, borders, and for cutting due to its long flowering period—each flower maintains its decorative quality for up to 10 days. The plant tolerates planting in the garden well and can be used both in landscape design and for interior decoration. Planting material is available as rhizomes with 2-3 buds, recommended to be planted at a depth of 20-30 cm from April to October.
