Harmony

The "Harmony" pear variety is a late-autumn dessert variety with high taste qualities and attractive fruit appearance. The tree is of medium size, fast-growing, with a dense round crown and large, shiny elliptical leaves. The fruits are large, with a broad pear or ovoid shape, weighing about 250 grams, with a bumpy surface and greenish-yellow color, complemented by a red blush. The flesh is creamy, medium-density, granular, very juicy and sweet, confirmed by a tasting score of 4.5 points. The fruits contain about 12.7% sugars, 0.3% acids, and 4.1 mg% of vitamin C.

The "Harmony" variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching an average of 399 centners per hectare, and regular fruiting. The fruits ripen at the end of August – September and are intended for winter consumption. They are well stored at temperatures from 0 to +4°C, maintaining their taste qualities for a long time. The tree has good ripening speed and resistance to fungal diseases, making it attractive for cultivation in regions with suitable climatic conditions.

It is recommended for cultivation in Crimea and the North Caucasus region, where the variety shows the best characteristics. Frost resistance in "Harmony" is low, which limits its cultivation in colder zones. The fruits require warm conditions for proper ripening and storage. Thanks to the combination of high yield, excellent taste, and good transportability, the "Harmony" variety is a promising choice for gardeners and commercial fruit producers.
