Autumn variety selected by VNIISPK, obtained by crossing in 1976 the winter-hardy variety Severyanka [Koperetchka 12 Michurin (Ussuri pear Ch. B. Ligel) Ch. Lyubimitsa Klappa] with the southern variety Olivier de Serr. Breeders: E. N. Sedov, N. G. Krasova, A. G. Kuznetsova, E. A. Dolmatov.
Passes State Testing in the middle zone of gardening. Widely distributed, mainly in home gardens. Suitable for intensive orchards in farm and industrial plantations.
Trees of medium growth vigor. Main branches branch off at an acute angle, forming a dense pyramidal crown. Bark on main branches and trunk is smooth, gray-brown.

Shoots are weakly jointed, curved in an arc, angular in cross-section, brownish-brown, without hairs. Leaves are medium-sized, green, elliptical, long-pointed, shiny. Leaf blade is concave, curved downward. Leaf margin is finely toothed. Petiole is long, with anthocyanin coloration.
Flower buds are large, smooth, conical. This is one of the few pear varieties in which flower buds are abundantly formed on current-year growths. Flowers are small or medium-sized, white, petals free; stigma style at the level of light-pink stamens.

Fruits of medium size (mass 130 g), one-dimensional, pear-shaped. Fruit skin is dense, rough, often with rusting around the depression. Main fruit color is light green at harvest and greenish-yellow during consumption period. Covering manifests as light blush and pink-red large blotches on the sun-exposed side of the fruit. Numerous subcutaneous spots are clearly visible. Peduncle is rather thick, oblique, slightly curved. Seed is small, elliptical.
Flesh is creamy, very juicy, semi-oily, sometimes with granules around the seed, with a mild nutmeg aroma, excellent slightly acidic-sweet taste. Chemical composition of fruits: total sugars — 9.9%, titratable acids — 0.38%, ascorbic acid — 6.2 mg/100g, P-active substances — 113 mg/100g.
Harvesting maturity occurs in the Orlov region in late August — early September. Consumer period lasts 2 months.
Fruits can be used for fresh consumption as well as for producing high-quality processed products (compotes, jams).
Exceptionally early-fruiting variety, characterized by annual abundant yields. Average yield of young trees is 100-120 centners per hectare, mature trees produce 40-50 kg per tree (180-230 centners per hectare). Trees are fairly winter-hardy in the Orlov region, resistance to scab is good.

Advantages of the variety: exceptional early fruiting, high yield of autumn-ripening fruits, good fruit flavor.

Disadvantages of the variety: some rusting of fruit skin, fruiting formations may freeze in harsh winters.
