Enchanted

Enchanted Pear — a high-yielding winter variety with large fruits weighing between 140 to 570 grams. The tree is medium-sized, reaching up to 3 meters in height, with a pyramidal crown and thick brown branches. Fruits have a classic shape and attractive coloration: during ripening, they are greenish-yellow with a pink blush, and at consumer ripeness, they turn into a yellow-emerald hue with a deep red tint. The flesh is tender, oily, juicy, slightly granular, and sweet without astringency, making them especially pleasant to eat. The variety is highly cold-resistant, tolerating temperatures down to -38°C, and also exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests. The tree tolerates cold and moist autumn conditions well, allowing the fruits to gradually reveal their flavor. Enchanted Pear is early-bearing — the first harvest can be harvested as early as the 5th–6th year after planting. For successful pollination, it is recommended to plant alongside the variety 'Talgar Red Beauty,' as Enchanted has low self-fertility. The fruits have high storability — under proper storage conditions, they retain their market quality for 4–5 months, enabling their use during winter. Pears are transportable and versatile in application. For planting, choose sunny sites with light soils and no close proximity to groundwater. Care for the tree includes timely watering, soil loosening to ensure oxygen access to roots, and fertilization with nitrogenous fertilizers in spring and phosphorus-potassium fertilizers in summer and autumn. Pruning is carried out in spring and autumn, shortening young shoots and preventing crown overcrowding.
