PONTIAN

The 'Pontian' peach represents a high-yield hybrid variety developed in Ukraine and successfully adapted for cultivation in the central regions of Russia, including the Moscow region. The tree is of medium height, reaching 5-6 meters, with a wide or inverted-cone shaped canopy and moderate foliage. The variety is distinguished by good resistance to frost, drought, diseases, and pests, ensuring stable productivity for 35-40 years. Yield begins in the fourth year of the tree's life, and up to 40-50 kg of fruit can be collected per tree per season.

The 'Pontian' peach fruits have a round or slightly elongated shape, weighing from 110 to 200 grams. Their skin is yellow with a raspberry or dark-red blush and speckles. The flesh is predominantly white or yellow, very juicy and aromatic, with a pleasant sweet-and-sour taste. Due to high marketability and good transportability, the fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and market sales.

The 'Pontian' variety is valued by gardeners for its stable fruit quality and the ability to propagate via seeds without loss of maternal traits, which allows for obtaining young plants without additional costs.
