Pea Bohatyr

Stable Yields: Managing «Богатир чеський» Peas

When selecting seeds for grain production, the priority is always reliable performance. The Czech breeding by Selgen provides an agronomic tool with a predictable growth pattern. In the field, «Богатир чеський» acts as a dependable mid-range performer: its medium height ensures operational ease during harvesting, keeping header losses to a minimum.

Field Protection and Agronomy

The main strength of this variety is its resistance to the most damaging pathogens. In high-humidity conditions, where the risk of Ascochyta blight and Fusarium wilt spikes, this variety demonstrates exceptional survival rates. Its robust profile against plant viruses and mosaic diseases reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions. Field experience confirms that its natural resistance to the pea moth alleviates a major headache during the pod-filling stage.

Vegetation Efficiency

With a vegetation period of 70–80 days, it is highly convenient for crop rotation planning. This is a crop that matures quickly, allowing for a timely harvest and immediate soil preparation for winter crops. When sown at recommended rates, the variety forms a uniform canopy, which makes combine adjustments straightforward. Seed consumption is standard, and the yield potential on fertile soils consistently delivers a stable output of high-quality grain.
